Wall of Success
At the 2011 Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) in Birmingham, I was invited to deliver the concluding Highlights Lecture before an audience of 3,000 people. The Text Consultant helped me to vary my text, groom my slides, improve my English, optimize my pronunciation and enhance my overall performance. This included smart dress code advice. We also made sure I was introduced appropriately and wisely. In brief, he showed me how I could use my performance to influence and control the message I wanted to convey.
The result? Maximum exposure. Several key people, including the editor-in-chief of the highest-impact US journal, wanted to meet me. Many people wished to have their picture taken with me. I felt like celebrity! I was even offered a position on the board. And now they gave me first author position in the EANM highlights review. Just too good to be true.
