Wall of success
During aging, all of us develop some kind of cerebral damage due to atherosclerosis of small vessels in the brain. In some people, however, such damage has little clinical effect, but in others it may cause dementia or Parkinsonism. I applied for an 800,000 euro VIDI grant to uncover why and how this is the case, using sophisticated MRI technology. This would help us deal with some highly prevalent brain diseases in our ageing societies.
With only a few acute observations, The Text Consultant showed me how my VIDI presentation could rise above the run of the mill into a truly distinctive performance. We enhanced the visual impact of my slides and the verbal force of my message. When colleagues responded with enthusiasm to the energy of my new delivery, this boosted my self-confidence. Then NWO’s affirmative email came: GOT IT!
