Chronic neuro-inflammation occurs if the natural process to restrain inflammation is not functioning properly. I aim to find out how this natural protection mechanism works and unravel its fundamental aspects. Once we understand what goes wrong during chronic inflammatory disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS), we can also clarify the current mystery in MS why anti-inflammatory therapies do not affect disease progression. I want to kickstart a research group to achieve this goal.

While working on my VIDI presentation with The Text Consultant within the span of one week, I was concurrently preparing another presentation, worth € 500,000. Both were to take place on two consecutive days. Optimizing the VIDI story, I simultaneously perfected the other one. With both committees complimenting the smoothness of my deliveries, I felt very confident to face their questions and actually succeeded in killing two birds with a single stone: 1.3 million euros within one week. Simply amazing!
