Wall of success
Many children go through harmful experiences such as neglect, abuse or bullying. I monitor a cohort of over 4,000 children to examine how such adverse childhood experiences might impact their brain development and how this, in its turn, may cause depression in adolescents. If we know how adversities shape our children’s brains, we may also be able to counter their effects. I was appointed to a professorship at Harvard to address just that.
The Text Consultant did not only improve my presentation but also mentored and guided me in the process of planning, outlining, further developing and fine-tuning it. Rarely have I met anyone so skilled to help me establish the story’s perfect backbone and lay out the talk. Excellent with details and strict on the superfluous, he is delightful to work with: funny, insightful and uplifting. When I left The Text Consultant, I knew I was ready to persuade the selection committee. And so I did.
